Phineas and Ferb: Rockin' and Rollin' Review

I was recently approached by rockandrollbabyworld to see if I would be interested in reviewing the 3rd installment in the Phineas and Ferb franchise titled: Phineas and Ferb: Rockin' and Rollin' album.

My boys love watching the TV show of Phineas and Ferb on the Disney XD channel so naturally I jumped at the chance.

This album was released on Monday 9th September and it contains 25 various songs which span the four seasons of the hit TV show Phineas and Ferb.

This is not a greatest hits album but it does contain unreleased fan favourites. The music on the album can be enjoyed by all with a bit of country, dance and R&B thrown in to make this album fun and upbeat.

I was right of cause, as soon as I started playing the tracks the boys were up dancing about and thoroughly enjoying all the tunes on the album.

This CD album is available to download on iTunes, the individual tracks cost $1.29 and the album itself costs $9.99. I think this is a very reasonable price as it converts to around 80p per track or the whole album you can purchase for £6.20. (Conversion rate checked on Friday 20th September)

Liebster Award 2013

I was recently nominated for a Liebster Award by  @Meandmymunchie, from her blog lifewithmunchers.com. The Liebster Award basically gives new bloggers a chance to stand up and spread the word about their blog to the vast community. So, thank you for the opportunity Life With Munchers.

I’ve been given 11 questions to answer and in turn I have to select 11 new bloggers (under 200 followers) to answer 11 questions from me.
Questions I was asked:-
1 – What is your blog about?
My blog is about my life as a working father of three gorgeous children JR who is 5, TP who is 3 and L-A who was one last week. I blog about our days out and anything we do when I'm not at work I also do the odd review here and there.

2 – Where do you like to do your blogging?
I blog anywhere, in my house in my garden at work or even in place I'm blogging about lol.

3 – What is your favourite City you have visited and why?
I would have to say London, I don't like the hassle and bussle of the city but I love that there's so much to do, I took my boys in May and we had a fabulous time visiting all the different sights around London.

4 – What would be your ultimate blogging achievement?
errrm I don't know, I really just blog for fun but if I could be on a recognized list for new bloggers that would be fabulous.

5 – What are you passionate about in life?
Well that's easy West Bromwich Albion lol. No really it's my kids I'm passionate about them achieving all then can in life and not missing out on any great opportunities life offers to them.

6 – Coffee or tea?
ohhh coffee at start of day and tea throughout the day.

7 – Favourite meal?
my wife's spaghetti Bolognese

8 – Desert island disc?
compilation of songs from the West End

9 – If you could be a celebrity, who would you be?
Jimmy Carr or Peter Kaye just so I could make people laugh and have the comedian mind set to come up with comical gags.

10 – Favourite product of all time?
my HD tv

11 – What’s your biggest fear?
looking back on my life and seeing regrets and not having the time to do anything about them.

So, if you're still hanging on in there with me, it’s time for me to select some new bloggers.  Being fairly new to this makes 11 tough to come up with, so I’m sticking with a small number like my predecessor.  The bloggers I am selecting are:-
To answer the following questions:-
1. Why did you start blogging?

2. What's your blog about?

3. What do you hope to achieve from blogging?

4. Who's your favourite super hero and why?

5. Where's your favourite place you've visited?

6. Tea or coffee?

7. What's your favourite take away food?

8. Who would you most like to meet and why? (They can be dead or alive)

9. Who's your favourite Disney character and why?

10. If you could visit anywhere in world, where would you visit and which one person would take with you?

11. What's your biggest fear?

Good luck!

Princess is one today

Just to let you know as you begin to read this post, I will jump from past to present just so you don't get lost.

Today my little princess is one.

I cant believe how quick the last year has flown by, it only seems like yesterday that I was ushering the wife into the car and driving her up to the hospital.

One year later and my little princess will be at her first milestone of her life. So many things have happened during this year, her nanny was rushed into hospital but now thankfully she is a lot better, her auntie uncle and cousins moved to Essex and to top it off she was in hospital for ten days all because of a milk allergy but on the positive side we moved from our small apartment to our big three bedroom house.

My daughter will be our first child to have a birthday in a house, so that in itself is a special occasion.

I cast my mind back to her very first scan, we had decided from the first scan of each of our three children that we weren't going to find out the sex of our baby until it was born.

So when L-A arrived in the world it was a complete shock to the midwife, my wife and I. The midwife lifted her into the air, I looked and looked again and thought to myself "we have to start all over again, our house isn't used to pink lol".

It has been a up and down road so fair leading up to this special day, I can only hope that all the knocks we have taken along the way are firmly behind us now and in our new home we can all move forward peacefully and successfully on our family journey through life.

Happy birthday sweetheart.

We held a little party for her this evening, with close family members in attendance. I was adventurous today too, I decided to bake, yes bake I said. I brought my daughter a birthday cake but I wanted do something different so I baked her a cake.

It ended up being the most brightest coloured cake I have ever baked, three coloured 3 layered birthday cake with mint green icing and pink sparkles. Yes to answer your question it was lovely and everyone did enjoy it so all turned out well in the end lol.

L-A enjoyed the day so much she flaked out half was through lol.

Little Fun Fest @ York Maze

Today we took the kids (wife included lol) to the little fun fest event which was being held at York Maze.

This trip had been booked for what seemed like months now, but the big day was finally here. We packed ourselves into the car and off we went on our long journey to York Maze.

The kids had no idea where we we're going apart from they we're going on a long journey to meet some special people and to have a fabulous day out.

The journey wasn't too bad to be fair, we had contemplated booking a hotel room for Saturday night then doing the rest of the journey Sunday, but as it was only going to take two and as half hours I thought save the cash just drive there and back in one day, so I did lol.

We arrived around 10.30 and made our way inside the farm grounds. We we're firstly greeted by a darlek, it slightly scared the kids but hey ho over time they've scared many a kid I can assure you lol.

We then had a quick chance to have a photo opportunity with Harry Potter, Ok it wasn't the real Daniel Radcliffe but it was still Harry Potter.

We then had a flick through the running order of the day for the shows and meet and greets and the site map to see where everything was situated so not to miss out on anything.

First port of call was the opening show which was put on by a character called Derek, who strangely looked a lot like Alex Winters from Cbeebies. My eldest knew it was Alex straight away but we had to pretend it wasn't.

We then took the kids, yes all the kids including my wife on the various fair ground rides and the other attraction on offer to all the visitors.

The boys were brave and went on all the rides themselves whilst my wife took our daughter on the merry-go-round.

I took the boys on a attraction called cornfussion, this was the farms version of a fun house with spinning walls, moving floors and upside down rooms. It was funny letting the boys lead me through all the different rooms, bumping and crashing into things along the corridors and fake doors.

We watched the Mister Maker show and also made magic wands and planted magic beans in the wizardry zone.

We then took the kids to the show tent where they saw a puppet show and then they joined in with all the others kids in story time with Alex Winters.

My wife got talking to a fellow blogger (who just so happens to work for little fun fest) who kindly invited us to the private meet and greet session of the CBeebies presenters.

They meet Mr Bloom & Mister Maker. They got their autographs and had their picture took with them.

My daughter had her picture took with Alex and he took such a liking to her he almost ran off with her and took her home (its a good job we know him) lol.

To finish the day off we watched the final segment of the show, this was a dance off between the boys and the girls. J R was chosen out of the crowd to represent the boys which was pretty awesome to be honest and yes the boys won lol.

There was one final special treat install for everyone before we all headed off home.

There was a competition between farmer tom (the owner of York Maze) and Alex Winters, whoever blew their balloon up and popped it first won and the person who lost got gunged, yes you heard right gunged just like good old Noel's house party or Tiswas if your of the older generation.

Guess who lost? Yes you probably got it right, good old Alex Winters. He not only lost the challenge but in the process got a good gunging, which of cause everyone found totally amusing and thoroughly entertaining.

That was a really good end to a really good and thoroughly entertaining day, we as a family cant wait for the next little fun fest.

#What's the Story - My famous friend

Yesterday (Sunday 8th September) we took the kids on a long car journey up to York Maze, where Little Fun Fest 2013 was being held.

We took them to the last on which was in Altrincham at Red House Farm, the kids really enjoyed it so we decided to take them to the event again this time round.

Whilst there the kids got to watch Mr Bloom and Mister Maker doing their show in the big tent and meet them at a meet and get session.

The bit they were really looking forward to was hopefully meeting up with that Welsh bloke of CBeebies you know the one Alex Winters (I think), yeah that's him Alex Winters lol.

We got the chance to not only see Alex in his show but also had the opportunity to meet up with him at a meet and greet session.

My boys meet him then ran off to play but my daughter on the other hand, he just couldn't give her back, new best friends forever lol.
