Justice League Figurines

Everyone loves a good comic book Hero vs Villain shown down and with the ever expanding world of the DC Comic Universe we're never left waiting long for our next instalment of Good vs Evil.

Our most recent one was obviously Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and hot off the back of that film will come Justice League in 2017.

Much like Batman v Superman this new instalment in the DC extended universe will bring much hype and excitement to comic fans around the world.

Along with the release of this film and off the back of the release of Batman v Superman we'll once again be treated to many new toys, games and figures associated to Justice League.

I was lucky enough to review a fabulous set of Batman v Superman figurines from Schleich and once again I am able to review their products this time for their release of their Justice League figurines.

This time round I am reviewing the Batman v Bane and Superman v Lex Luther sets.

Both of these sets are to a high quality hand painted finish with extreme likeness to all four characters.

These sets are priced at £14.99 each which I personally believe is a very competitive price and well worth paying for these fabulous sets which can be brought individual or as great additions to anyone's growing figurine collection.

I was sent these products for review purpose only and all content of this post is mine and my words alone.

Talk and Pose Danger Mouse

If your a child of the early 80s like myself you'll fondly remember growing up watching Danger Mouse and his side kick Penfold on children's tv.

Fast forward to September 2015 and the reboot of Danger Mouse and the show airing back on our tv on the CBBC channel for the children of the children of the 80s lol.

Alongside this rebooted tv series comes new ranges of Danger Mouse toys and figures from Jazwares and my children (well me more so lol) have been lucky enough to be sent to review an:-

With this action figure you can get stuck right into the world of a secret agent and with Danger Mouse having his very own jet pack you can help him escape quickly if he finds himself in too much trouble.

This fully posable action figure says five phrases and sounds from the show which you can activate by pressing his belt buckle.

Has arm raising action which is activated by pressing a button on his back.

A glow-in-the dark eyepatch.

Also he comes with a fully removable jet pack too.

This product is priced at £19.99 and compared to other action figures that are posable and talk I find this price very good and very competitive.

I was sent this product for review purpose only and all views and opinions are solely mine.

Beets BLU Keyfinder

Are you forever loosing or misplacing your car or house keys?

Yes I hear you say.... Well the Beet BLU Keyfinder is the solution you've been waiting for.

This small device can be just to track down those misplaced keys and potentially stop those age old arguments of who's misplaced the keys this time.

This device can also be used on other valuables like your purse/wallet, cameras or camcorders, luggage, pets and even your darling children when they run off and hide from you whilst out on walks or doing your family shopping.

I was recently sent this item to review as I'm forever putting my keys down at home when I come in from work going off and doing something else then forgetting where I've put them when it's time to go out again.

This devise is so simple to set up too all you have to do is simply download the app from your phones app store take the device out of the packaging, sync it to your phone and jobs a good un as they say.

You can track your valuables whatever they are wirelessly at a distance of up to 33 feet.

This product is priced at £20 on amazon with free P&P and compared to other products on the market I think it is worth the price tag.

Batman v Superman Product Review

Mum's and Dad's alike over the ages have grown up watching the many different tv and film versions of batman and superman, each being one being that bit different from the last film or the last tv show.

I grew up watching both the batman and superman films, firstly seeing Michael Keaton star as batman back in 1989 and around the same time I was probably introduced to  Christopher Reeve playing Superman in the films and I've carried on following and enjoying both characters right through to watching Christian Bale playing the role in the last batman film in 2012 and Henry Cavill playing superman in 2013 film.

Now brings a whole new issue to the child within who grew up supporting and pretending to be both Batman and Superman alike as now I'm having put in front of me:-

Batman vs Superman: Dawn of Justice

I mean come on all through my childhood life I've been one character then the other, then the opposite one then back again (you get my drift) now I'm seeing a film being brought to the big screen of my two childhood heroes fighting each other, I can't choose sides that's crazy.

Film aside for now, what this means though is more toys, games and collectibles will be released for this new film.

One new set of collectibles released by Schleich is the
Batman v Superman figurines.

Yes I have been lucky enough to be sent one of these packs, I recently received the Batman v Superman pack, they retail at £14.99 and for both figures this is a great price.

As you can see from my photos both figurines are high quality hand painted figures with extremely lifelikeness to both Batman and Superman.

If I would have to choose my favourite it would have to be Batman..  No Superman... No no really I can't choose but as character figurines go I love them both.

I was sent this product for review purpose and all my opinions are fully my own.

The Beatrix Potter Collection - Review

My children were recently lucky enough to be sent the Beatrix Potter Collection DVD box set to review.

To be honest they love watching Peter Rabbit on Cbeebies so when this DVD arrived in the post they couldn't wait for me to put it on for them to watch.

When I showed them the dvds collection to which they could choose to watch from they each chose a different one, typical children eh one DVD player to watch the dvds on yet they wanted to watch all three at once.

Well we opted to watch the DVD titled

The World Of Peter Rabbit And Friends

The children chose to first watch the episode titled

The Tales of Peter Rabbit and Benjamin Bunny

This story is about the mischievous adventures of Peter and Benjamin in Mr Mcgregor's garden.

Although the children were a little confused at first as this was not the Peter Rabbit they watched on Cbeebies they all really enjoyed this episode, as you can see from my picture below JR was glued to the episode as were my other two to be honest.

The DVD the children chose to watch first consists of three stories

The Tales of Peter Rabbit and Benjamin Bunny

The Tales of Flopsy Bunnies and Mrs Tittlemouse

The Tales of Tom Kitten and Jemima Puddle-Duck

and the DVD runs for approximately 77 minutes.

At the time of this review this DVD collection was retailing online for between £6 and £10.

I think that this is a really good price for three DVDs and nine episodes of these wonderfully animated stories.

All opinions and views on this review are completely mine.

Worry Eater - Flint Product Review

Hello everyone my name is Flint and I'm a eater of your worries and nightmares.

All you have to do is simply write down whatever is worrying you or causing you to have nightmares, feed them into my zip mouth and let me eat them up and hopefully help you to overcome your worries and/or nightmares.

My friends TP and JR did exactly that a few nights back after they were struggling with a few worries they each had.

After talking them through with their Daddy they each wrote them down on their individual pieces of paper and popped them into my mouth for me to eat, yummy yum yum 😋.

Whilst my little friends were soundly sleeping I ate up their worries and by doing so I hoped that would help them overcome their worries and what was causing them to feel sad in the process and thankfully after a good night's sleep and passing their worries on to me they woke the next day feeling much better and happier knowing their worries had been shared with me so they didn't have to keep their worries to themselves any longer.

They each now know that if they have any worries or anything is upsetting them from now on not only can they share them with Mummy or Daddy but I'm always here to eat up those worries or concerns they have and help them overcome them.

Flint belongs to a friendly group of characters brought to you by the creative mind of Gerd Hahn.

At the time of writing this review Flint was currently retailing between £15 and £20.

Do I personally think this product is worth the price tag?

Yes, without a doubt I do.

I personally think that seeing my two boys sit with me at bedtime and tell me what was worrying them and then have them knowing that their new worry eater friend will be their to help them overcome any future worries and possible nightmares is worth every penny.

I also think that encouraging them at a young age to know it's ok to share their worries is a good thing and if introducing something like the worry eaters into their lives to help them do so works then I think Flint is a winner all round.

This product was sent for review purpose and all the details within this review are mine and mine alone.

Oddsockosaurus Review

My children love having stories read to them, yes they might be old enough now to read stories for themselves but nothing beats tucking your children into their cosy beds and reading them a bedtime story.

This evenings story was called Oddsockosaurus by Zanib Mian and Bill Bolton and published by Sweet Apple Publishers.

Oddsockosaurus is a fun filled book about a six year old boy who compares his daily moods and feelings to those of dinosaurs and in turn renames himself various different dinosaur names like

Cheekyodon,

Fastosaurus

and Oddsockosaurus.

When I was reading this book to my five year old son his little face kept lighting up every time he saw a dinosaur in the book that reminded him of himself, I keep saying is that you and he'd reply "no daddy" with a little smile on his face.

This book was a really fun and enjoyable book not only to read but also to use to interact with my son with.

This book is priced at £6.99 and I think it is a good price for a fun bedtime story book.

I was sent this book for review purpose only and all views are my own.

Dettol Surface Cleaners Review

As we all know Autumn leading into Winter brings with it many changes in the weather and with these changes in the weather it inevitably brings with it those dreaded winter cold and flu bugs.

As all of us with children are fully aware by now this time of year sees the playgrounds and play group centres full of little ones bunged up with those lovely winter colds and flu viruses, one way you can help prepare yourselves at home to help prevent the spread of bacteria in colds and flu viruses is by using Dettol Surface Cleaners which helps kill 99.9% of bacteria.

Did you know that according to the Office of National Statistics over 27 million days of work are missed each year and close to 15 million school days are missed too due to colds and illnesses.

During the season of colds and flu viruses, the flu virus can spread on unclean surfaces with the flu virus living on your surfaces for upto 2 days and the cold virus living on your surfaces for upto 7 yes 7 days.

So this winter fight back with Dettol Surface Cleaners and prevent your surfaces and your house becoming a virus breading ground.

To help prevent the spread of winter viruses this winter in my house I shall be using Dettol Antibacterial Surface Cleanser and Dettol Antibacterial Surface Wipes.

Dettol Antibacterial Surface Cleanser kills 99.9% of bacteria, including E. coli, salmonella, MRSA and the flu virus. The gentle yet effective, non bleach and no taint spray is safe to use where food is prepared and around baby equipment.

Dettol Antibacterial Cleansing Surface Wipes kills E. coli, salmonella, MRSA and the flu virus (H1N1). The non bleach and no taint wipes are suitable to be used around baby equipment and food preparation areas. Convenient and easy to use format, they are ideal for fast and hygienic cleaning.

I would say that for a deep clean the Antibacterial Surface Cleanser is the more effective product but equally the Antibacterial Cleansing Surface Wipes are a quicker and easier alternative.

I was sent these products free of charge for review purpose and at the time of this post the products ranged between £1.00 on special offers to £3.00 in various super markets.

I do honesty believe this reflects other products prices out there so they are good value for money and even better if you can help protect your family for less whilst their on special offers.

OKIDO - Magazine Review and TV Programme Trailer

This issue of OKIDO is all about having friends and making new friends.

(Here is Messy Monster and his friends Zoe and Felix.)

This issue to be honest has come in handy just at the right time as my boys are both going back to school where they will be going back to both old and new friends alike.

Back to the magazine before I get side tracked lol, this magazine as I said is about having and making friends. The first section if the magazine is about the lead character Messy Monster and his friends Felix and Zoe making friends with Grumpyko.

This is a good little story that my boys enjoyed because it taught them that even if people don't initially want to be your friend don't be nasty in return as like Grumpyko they may still need your help and then through that become your friends.

Also in this issue there is many other stories telling the children about how to make friends and cool activities they can do with their friends like secret handshakes and how to make picnic food that they can share with their friends.

Okido magazine, created in 2007, is an illustrated bi-monthly arts and science magazine printed on FSC paper using vegetable inks and contains no adverts. Okido magazine costs £4, retails through over 50 independent shops, galleries and museum stores, has over 2K subscribers and is distributed via Intermedia. Each issue of Okido contains scientific questions and theories, which are answered in the most creative and artistic manner, for children to explore at home with their families and with regular leads into the national curriculum.

Starting on Monday at 4.20 on Cbeebies Messy Monster is brought to life in his very on show.

Messy goes to Okido is an animated TV series, directed by Bafta winner Liz Whitaker (Bob the Builder, Pingu and Timmy Time). Messy Monster is brought to life by lead voice talent Adam Buxton (The Adam & Joe Show, Bugged, Son of Rambow, Hot Fuzz). Each episode of Messy goes to Okido is based on themes drawn from the OKIDO magazines; gravity, snow, floating, rain, hunger, germs, magnets, atoms and colour. The show is aimed at pre-school children and is a mix of CGI and 2D animation combined with live action. The series is produced by Doodle Productions in London.

Here's a trailer for your little ones to enjoy.

Peppa Pig: My Daddy Book Review + Giveaway

I like many other Daddies out there love reading stories to their children, whether it be old story books you have read time after time or new stories that none of you have read before.
So when I was approached to see if I would be interested in reviewing a Peppa Pig book from Ladybird for the children I naturally jumped at the chance.

My children love watching Peppa Pig and have a few Peppa Pig books already of their own so when Daddy told them I had a new book to read they couldn't wait to go to bed and have it read to them as much as I couldn't wait to read it to them.

This Peppa Pig book is about Peppa and George's Daddy and all the things they love about him and all the things he does with them they love doing.

When you read this book with your children you can read the pages and relate to the story and if your like me you can even adapt the things on the page to what you do with your little ones to add a extra bit of extra fun the bed time reading.

This book is price marked at £4.99 which I think is a reasonable price for a hardback book which can be used over and over again across the bedtime years. I did however find this book on a few Internet sights priced at £2.99 which makes it a even better bargain for such a fun bedtime book.

You can follow Lady Bird Books on:-

Now is your chance to win your very own copy of this fabulous book my entering my competition below.

This book was sent to me free of charge and all the opinions and wording is solely mine.
